The way your external reality shapes up is closely linked to the experiences you’ve encountered, the emotions they’ve triggered (and their intensity), the environment you grew up in, and the programming you received from caregivers, peers, and influential figures during your formative first six years. The good news is that this programming isn’t set in stone; it’s replaceable. In this article, we’ll explore how this process operates and introduce a simple, yet highly effective method to reprogram yourself.
Why is this knowledge crucial? It’s pivotal because comprehending your programming helps unravel the mysteries of your current life. Your creations are a direct result of the beliefs housed within your subconscious mind. If you’re content with these creations, that’s wonderful. However, if you’re seeking transformation, I’ll unveil the steps you can take to initiate that change.
It’s vital to acknowledge that this transformation isn’t instantaneous. Much like any behavioral change, it necessitates discipline and consistent effort. There’s no magic trick involved; results stem from dedicated action.
The human brain operates in various modes depending on its state. Each mode corresponds to a distinct brain wave frequency. While there are five primary brain wave states (Delta, Theta, Alpha, Beta, and Gamma), we’ll delve into the first four.
Delta: This is the slowest brain wave and is prominent in newborns (0-1 year of age). It’s also active during deep sleep as an adult. Delta is a subconscious brain wave, surfacing when you’re in a corresponding mental state.
Theta: Slightly faster than Delta, Theta is also subconscious. It’s the brain wave state you’re in during ages 1-6 and when you’re falling asleep (drifting off) or waking up as an adult. For experienced meditators, accessing this state is possible. It opens the gateway to your subconscious mind, making it a powerful tool for installing beliefs.
Alpha: Present during ages 7-12 and when you meditate or relax with your eyes closed, Alpha serves as a bridge between your conscious and subconscious minds. Enhanced Alpha presence improves the connection between the two, achievable through practices like meditation.
Beta: This is the fastest brain wave state and becomes your primary mode around age 12. Beta is further divided into Low, Mid, and High Beta.
- Low Beta: This state aids focus during work.
- Mid Beta: It’s your typical mode while conversing or reading, reflecting a calm yet emotionally engaged state.
- High Beta: Indicative of stress, this mode is activated during overwhelming situations, triggering harmful cortisol secretion. Prolonged exposure to cortisol damages the brain irreparably, causing health, emotional, and cognitive issues.
The Daily Cycle:
- Sleep: Delta
- Wake Up: Theta, followed by Alpha
- Daily Activities: Mainly Beta (ideally low-mid)
- Evening Relaxation: Transitioning toward Alpha
- Bedtime: Alpha while relaxing
- Falling Asleep: Theta
- Deep Sleep: Delta
The moments of falling asleep and waking up offer access to your subconscious mind, facilitating the installation of new beliefs. By consciously selecting positive thoughts or affirmations and repeating them, you forge new pathways within your subconscious. Repetition is key to this process, as it’s how your brain learns.
One effective technique is to repeat a chosen mantra or affirmation before sleeping. For instance, my personal mantra is “My life is getting better and better.” If I skip my meditation, I’ll still lay down, close my eyes, and repeat the phrase to myself. Consistency over 3-4 weeks with one chosen statement is crucial before transitioning to another.
Remember, this isn’t a hasty journey; it’s a gradual transformation. By understanding your programming and making intentional choices, you can reshape your beliefs, leading to transformative external outcomes. You hold the power to redesign your reality.
So, as you embark on this self-empowering voyage, keep your vision clear, your intention focused, and your commitment unwavering. With diligence and dedication, you can cultivate the reality you truly desire.
You’re the architect of your destiny!
