How you see yourself inside is how you see yourself outside

The way you see yourself is the way you are going to develop towards.

The mental picture you have created inside your head is the way you are programming yourself to look like now/in the future.

In his book “Psychocybernetics” dr Maxwell explains the phenomenon. He used to work as a plastic surgeon and observed that, after even the plastic surgery of the face where every piece of the face has been changed and unrecognisable with the previous one, the person who had the surgery job done, often times did not see any changes in the mirror after.

How is that possible you might ask yourself?

First of all, we are looking at the world with our Brain.

Eyes, are the only external part of the brain. Ok, it’s retinas to be scecific, but this is exactly the part you and I are looking at the world. The picture is being send and created in the brain.

If you are looking at someone very familiar visually to you (ie yourself) and you hold a certain belief about how you are looking engrained in your subconscious mind (“I don’t like my nose”, “My ears are too big”, or “I have beautiful eyes”, “I love my hair” etc), this is the way you see yourself.

Exactly same situation was with the patients of dr Maxwell after the plastic surgery. They had a picture of themselves from before the surgery, and did not create the new image for themselves yet. Therefore, when they saw themselves after the plastic surgery they did not see any change.

What does it mean for you?

This is a damn superpower. In principle it’s extremely simple:

You create the picture of yourself, repetitively focus your attention on it for some time and then this is the way you will turn out looking like. It’s not an overnight process but if applied it works for everyone.

The strategy that kids apply is super useful:

They stick on the walls of their rooms the pictures of their heroes. In that way, the environment they create for themselves forces their attention automatically to drift towards this images and daydream. The more you focus your attention on something the more it grows.

The problem with today’s society is that the attention spam is extremely scattered. People are not able to focus on 1 thing for extended period of time. And that means we give our creative superpowers away and we pay for it to be taken from us (It’s like superman would go to someone, give away his ability to fly for a pack of cigarettes and thank the guy thinking that he made a deal of his life).

What is the mental picture you have for yourself?

How do you look like?

What is your hairstyle?

What is your silhouette?

What clothes do you wear?

The more details you have for yourself, the stronger the impression of the program on your subconscious mind.

Is it only applicable on the appearance? Of course not, it’s just the simplest example. You can apply this mental imagining towards everything in your life.

->What you want to be doing

->Where do you spend your time at

->What type of people you are surrounded with

->What car do you drive

->Where do you live

->etc

You create your external reality ALWAYS internally first. You become first internally, then the external 3D world is just a mirror of what you are internally!
