Think of the ocean as a big playground of waves. These waves don’t come alone—they come in groups called sets. Some sets have really big waves, while others have smaller ones. A set can have up to seven waves. Once a set is gone, the ocean becomes calmer, making it easier for surfers to relax and take a break.
But sometimes, surfers get stuck in a tricky spot where waves are crashing around them. It’s not a fun experience, to say the least.
What helps a surfer in this tough situation is knowing that the wild waves won’t last forever. Even though it might seem like they will, they’ll eventually pass and things will get better.
Applying this to Life
Life is a lot like those ocean waves. It has its ups and downs, just like wave sets. Opportunities show up in our lives, kind of like these wave sets. But here’s the thing: opportunities, just like waves, don’t stick around forever. They come and go, leaving their mark on our journey.
Some opportunities are exciting and align with our dreams, making life better. Others might feel like challenges crashing down on us. No matter what type they are, they’re temporary. Just like those wild waves in the ocean, these moments in life will pass. Even if things feel really tough and endless, they won’t last forever. And even if things are going perfectly, those moments won’t stick around either.
Today’s Lesson
The big lesson here is that everything in life—both the good and the tough times—doesn’t last forever. Just like waves in the ocean come and go, the ups and downs in our lives are temporary too. This knowledge can help us face challenges with courage and enjoy the good moments even more, knowing that they’re all part of life’s natural rhythm.
